New concrete: wait about a month

New concrete needs time to dry, roughly 28 days, before it's sealed. After pressure washing, let it dry at least 72 hours.

Before winter

Sealing in late summer or early fall means your concrete goes into salt season protected. One maintenance guide recommends getting it done before October 1.

How often

Reseal when water no longer beads on the surface. Aprons and driveways that see salt need it more often than a backyard patio.

Stamped concrete

Sealer is what keeps stamped color rich. Around pools, add a slip-resistant additive.

What we do

We wash, degrease and reseal walks, aprons, driveways and stamped surfaces, with salt-repellent sealer on aprons.

Can you seal concrete in the cold?

Sealers have temperature limits on the label. Fall sealing is best done before it gets too cold.

Is sealing worth it?

On aprons and driveways that see salt, it's one of the cheapest ways to make concrete last.
