Concrete Patios in Norwich & Central New York
A patio is the easiest way to add living space to your yard. We handle the whole thing: digging out, grading, a compacted stone base, forms, pour and finish. Broom finish keeps it simple. Stamped gives it the look of stone.
Patios we've poured lately
A broom finish backyard patio in Sidney. A broom finish patio in Norwich. A seamless stamped hot tub patio and a pool patio in North Norwich. A wood plank stamped patio in Preston that looks like a hardwood floor. Every photo on this page is a Bennett's job.
Broom finish or stamped?
Broom finish
Clean, simple and grippy underfoot. The most affordable way to get a solid, low-maintenance patio. Good for grills, fire pits and furniture.
Stamped
Slate, stone or wood plank texture with color. More decorative, and it needs resealing every few years to look its best. See our stamped concrete page.
What makes a patio last
- The base. Most problems with old patios start underneath. We strip the soil and build a compacted stone base first.
- Slope. A patio should shed water away from the house, not toward it. We set the forms so it does.
- Control joints. Concrete shrinks as it cures. Joints cut in the right spots keep cracks where you want them.
- Thickness and reinforcement. Sized for what's going on it. A filled hot tub weighs a lot more than patio chairs, so its pad gets built for that.

How soon can I use my new patio?
Light foot traffic is usually fine after a day or two, and furniture after about a week. Concrete keeps gaining strength for about a month. We'll give you exact timing for your weather and mix.
Can you pour a pad for a hot tub?
Yes. We've poured hot tub patios and pads sized and reinforced for a filled tub. Let us know the tub's size and where the electric runs.
Do you remove an old patio first?
Yes. We break out and haul away old concrete, pavers or stone, fix the base, then pour new. See concrete removal and replacement.
